Trustee Runs Marathon

TRUSTEE DID THE MARATHON

Koleola Akeju did the Liverpool half marathon on the 15th of March and
London marathon on the 26 th of April to raise money for the Breathe
Easy Foundation. We really appreciate it and praying that the Lord will
continue to comfort and strengthen you . WELLDONE!!!

World Asthma Day

On World Asthma Day, which was on the 5th of May, three trustees from the Breathe Easy Foundation visited the Rainbow Club to raise awareness of asthma. The chair spoke about the cause, triggers, prevention and treatment.

The theme for this year is “Access to anti-inflammatory inhalers for everyone with asthma-still an urgent need”

Crown Radio FM at Ile Ife

BreatheEasy Foundation recently had the pleasure of visiting Crown FM Radio, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

It was a great opportunity to engage with the team and share our mission of promoting better respiratory health and raising awareness about asthma and chest care within the community. Through meaningful conversations and media outreach, we continue to spread vital health information that can positively impact lives.

We appreciate the warm reception and the platform to amplify our message. Together, we move closer to a healthier, more informed society.

Volunteer Arranged Visit to Adesina College & Federal College of Animal Health

Adesina College is a mixed secondary school of over 500 pupils.

Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan consisted of over 600 undergraduates who were having their Fresher day. It was a tremendous opportunity to speak to them. This had been arranged by our volunteer.

The 1st three are from Adesina College and the last 3 from Federal College of Animal Health.

The Foundation recently visited OAUTH (Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital) to engage with staff and support ongoing healthcare initiatives

Visit to Adesina College

The trustees joined the staff and students of Adesina College, Akobo, Ibadan, in January 2025. The chair spoke about Asthma and how it can be prevented by avoiding its triggers. There were over 20 students with Asthma, and only a few had their Ventolin inhalers with them. Ventolin inhalers were given to students and staff who had not received them. An electric Nebulizer was donated to the school for use in emergencies. It was handed to the Health and Wellbeing Teacher.

RE-ACTIVITIES JULY 2022

Two Teaching Hospitals our current partners were visited in July 2022. We met some patients at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital IleIfe and University College Hospital Ibadan. We also managed to meet our partners at the Asthma Chest Care Foundation. All the partners were delighted to see us and we donated some Ventolin Inhalers to the Patients.

Dear Donors and all Supporters,

I hope you are keeping well and staying safe during this critical and difficult time. The time of uncertainty is affecting everyone voluntary organisations inclusive.
Breathe Easy Foundation will be suspending all activities until further notice. It also means our Trustees who are scheduled to go to Nigeria to celebrate the World Asthma Day with our partners and raising awareness of the dangers of uncontrolled Asthma will not be able to travel probably till after July.
If you have Asthma please take your inhalers as prescribed by your Doctors. If you have difficulty with your breathing please ring 111. We have to keep praying that there will soon be an end to the situation. Meanwhile please look after yourselves, keep well and stay safe.
